2004 American military scandal during the Iraq War
These images are in the public domain in the United States because they are ineligible for copyright. Pictures taken by U.S. military personnel as part of that person's official duties are ineligible for copyright in the US. The photographers of the Abu Ghraib prisoner abuse photos have asserted this was the case under oath. See {{AbuGhraibPic}}
