  • On static display in Beamish Museum is a 1917 example of a 22 ton steam rail crane built by Henry J Coles. It's sited in the diagonal of grass in between the west side of the tramway, and the NE spur to the tram depot. Positioned with crane arm facing south, parallel to the tramway.
