English: The building at 42 Botanic Avenue was erected in 1874 for the Reformed Presbyterian Church after the designs of the architect William Batt in a Romanesque Revival style. The church was rented to the Irish Evangelical Church (later renamed to Evangelical Presbyterian Church) in 1930 who eventually bought it. The Evangelical Presbyterian Church left this building in 1971. Today, the building is used as a music venue under the name Belfast Empire Music Hall.
