Category:Abellio / Selwyns 2012 Liverpool Central rail replacement buses

English: From April to October in 2012, Liverpool Central railway station, which is underground but serves the commuter rail Merseyrail network, was closed for redevelopment. During this time rail replacement buses were provided to the nearest stations, involving a loop service calling at Moorfields & Lime Street stations, and a shuttle service to and from Brunswick station. Merseyrail sister company Abellio won the contract and supplied the buses and drivers from their Abellio London subsidiary, although due to not having an operating base in the north west, they sub-contracted Selwyns Travel to stable the buses at their Runcorn depot. The fleet comprised eight '51 registered ALX400 bodied Dennis Trident double-deckers. They kept their London red colour, but their Abellio London fleetnames were changed to generic Abellio & Selwyns partnership markings.
