There are 4 regions (comarcas) in Catalonia, the territory of which covers more than one province: The comarca of Baixa Cerdanya contains 17 municipalities, 11 of them belonging to the province of Girona and the remaining 6 in the province of Lleida. The comarca of Berguedà contains 31 municipalities, 30 of them belonging to the province of Barcelona and the remaining 1 (Gósol) in the province of Lleida. The comarca of Osona contains 50 municipalities, 3 of them belonging to the province of Girona (Espinelves, Vidrà i Viladrau) and the remaining 47 in the province of Barcelona. The comarca of Selva contains 26 municipalities, 25 of them belonging to the province of Girona and the remaining 1 (Fogars de la Selva) in the province of Barcelona.
