History
The training ship Astice (A 5379), once Aragosta class in-shore minesweeper, built by Cantieri Riuniti dell'Adriatico, in Monfalcone. Launched on January 16, 1957, completed and entered in service on June 19, 1957 with given pennant M 5452. Between 2001 and 2003 the ship underwent modernization works carried out at Italian Navy Shipyards, in La Spezia, in order to transform in training ship for the Cadets of the Italian Naval Academy.
