Category:Banknotes of Hungary, forint

The forint was introduced in Hungary on 1 August 1946. The Magyar Nemzeti Bank started to issue the banknotes currently in circulation in 1997. Only the banknotes printed in (or after) the 1990s are actually in use now. As a member of the European Union, the long term aim of the Hungarian government is to replace the forint with the euro (not before 2020).

For usage permission see Commons:Currency#Hungary. All these are banknotes which doesn't have its copyright expired are copyrighted (all other license template is in error and should be fixed).

Non-expired copyright banknotes which are listed in the above usage permission link are freely useable for any purposes, except for printing them on paper which only be possible following the mandates of the anti-counterfeiting laws quoted above.
