English: The bridge was built in 1829 by Seguin, Montgolfier et Cie. It was destroyed by Allied bombing in the summer of 1944, during WWII. It was replaced by another bridge built in 1958. This bridge in turn was demolished in 1994, after the current bridge (1990) was completed.
