Category:British Rail Class 416

English: The British Rail Class 416 (or 2EPB) electric multiple units were built between 1953 and 1956. They were intended for inner suburban passenger services on London's Southern Electric network, although 15 units (which were built in 1955) originally saw service on the third rail electrified Tyneside Electrics, being reallocated to the London area when the services on the southern side of the River Tyne were de-electrified in 1963
