English: : János Erdélyi by Berta Gyöngyössy (1914 bronze bust) János Erdélyi was a teacher, poet, collector of folk songs, and also a student of Pataki. He graduated in law in 1841 and then worked as an editor for several newspapers in the country. In 1848 he was the director of the National Theater, andafter the defeat of the War of Independence he became a teacher of philosophy at the college in Sárospatak. The bust was erected for the 100th anniversary of his birth. This bust is in the Iskolakert (Schoolgarden), Downtown, Sárospatak, Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County, Hungary
