English: There is no separate canal passing through Strophilia forest. The Larissos River flowing from mountainous West Achaea floods the wetlands of fresh-water Prokopos Lagoon, watering Strophylia Forest. It exits to the Gulf of Kylleni through Kalogria in a shallow channel that is to some degree canalized for stability. The low flow often does not reach the beach across which it sometimes floods.
