Category:Cascadilla Hall
English: Cascadilla Hall, located on Cascadilla Gorge in Collegetown, was built in 1866 as a water cure sanitarium and school for women doctors, but never used for that purpose. Instead it was sold to Cornell University as the first official building of the University, including living, classroom and dining space. Later it functioned strictly as a dormitory. A renovation in 1981 added a second floor to the Mansard roof. Architect: Nichols & Brown.
