  • Note: Not all states of the United States have a coat of arms. Alabama, Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, North Dakota, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Texas, Vermont, West Virginia, and Wisconsin have officially adopted them.
  • The State of Hawaii had a seperate coat of arms as a Kingdom, which is no longer used. The State of Texas also had a separate coat of arms as a Republic. The States of Alabama and Pennsylvania also use their coat of arms in the form of a "seal."
