Category:Collection Christian Barnekow

The Barnekow Collection was established by life surgeon Christian Fenger (1773–1845). At Fenger's death, the collection went to his only daughter Else Sophie Barnekow (1809–1899), widowed by chamberlain, over judge advocate (overauditør) Ad. von Barnekow (1805–1839). She expanded the collection. Then their son the composer, professor Christian Barnekow (1837–1913), inherited and expanded the collection further.
