English: Comic New York was a two-day symposium held March 24 and 25, 2012 at Columbia University's Low Memorial Library, to examine the intertwined histories of New York City and the American Comic Book Industry. The keynote session was a discussion with writer Chris Claremont, who wrote X-Men for 17 consecutive years, and his long-time editor Louise Simonson, in recognition of Claremont’s gift of his complete archives to Columbia’s Rare Book and Manuscript Library.
