Category:Drexel Hotel Building

English: The Drexel Hotel Building, 519 Third Avenue in the Pioneer Square neighborhood, Seattle, Washington, USA. The building is unprepossessing, but its second and third floors are believed to be among the few structures to survive the Great Seattle Fire of 1889. This older wooden building was later placed atop a new masonry building (Designed by Josenhans & Allan for the Hemrich Brothers) as a result of the regrading of Third Avenue in the early 1900s, and has been reclad at least twice since that time.

See Summary for 519 3rd AVE / Parcel ID 0939000035, Seattle Department of Neighborhoods, for further information about the building and for discussion of its date of construction.
