English: The Dundee City Churches represent the mediaeval parish church of St Mary of the burgh of Dundee. After the Reformation it was administratively split into the steeple and three separate churches.

The only surviving mediaeval section is the western tower. The other sections were step by step replaced by Gothic Revival buildings. Nevertheless, in the outside appearance, together they still form one large church, today. All sections are category A listed buildings.

  • The nave is now the St Clement's Church, also called Steeple church. It was built in 1787/88, originally with aisles, but now aisleless.
  • Transept and crossing form the Old St Paul's and St David's Church or South Church. After a fire of 1841, it was rebuilt in 1841/42.
  • The choir is the Dundee Parish Church of St Mary or East Church. After the fire of 1841, the present building was erected in 1843/44, in basilical shape.
