English: Eastminster was a full-rigged iron ship of 1145 tons, built 1876 by J Reid & Co Port Glasgow (yard No 5P) for E. J. Berryman & Turnbull, London. Her dimensions were: length × beam × depth = 226 × 35 × 20.4 ft (68.9 × 10.7 × 6.2 m). The ship wrecked 1888 in a hurricane on a voyage from Maryborough to Newcastle off Capricorn-Bunker Island and was lost. An unknown number of sailors died in this accident.[1][2]
