English: Emil Joseph Kapaun (April 20, 1916 – May 23, 1951) was a Roman Catholic priest and United States Army chaplain who died in the Korean War. The Roman Catholic Church has declared him a Servant of God and he is a candidate for sainthood. He was posthumously awarded the U.S. military's highest decoration, the Medal of Honor, for his actions in the Korean War.
