- 2000 : Énergie Ottawa est créée et devient propriétaire des centrales hydroélectriques no 2 et no 4, qui ont été construites par Thomas Ahearn et William H. Soper. Énergie Ottawa modernisera complètement ces centrales en 2001 et en 2005, ce qui permettra de préserver leur valeur patrimoniale et même de doubler leur capacité de production d’énergie renouvelable grâce à des technologies modernes.
