Category:Film bus "London Road Car Company" (NN 373)

English: NN 373 is a mock vintage solid-tyred bus, manufacured for use in films. It was constructed by Smiths Coaches of Reading around 1963, in the extensive workshop facilities of their Rose Kiln Lane depot. The chassis is from an American 1915 built Locomobile 45hp ex-army truck, while the body came from a 1911 built LGOC B-type bus. It was owned by the Goodey family who operated a film prop business based in Spencers Wood, Berkshire. It was turned out in a dark blue, white and yellow livery, later being finished in the livery of the London Road Car Company, in which form it appeared in 1975 film One of Our Dinosaurs Is Missing. It later passed into the collection of the Caister Castle Car Museum in Norfolk.
