Category:First Methodist Episcopal Church (North Adams, Massachusetts)

English: The First Methodist Episcopal Church, later the First United Methodist Church, on Main Street at the corner of Church Street in North Adams, Massachusetts was built in 1929. It was closed in 2009 due to the deterioration of the building, with the congregation continuing to meet across the street at the First Congregational Church. Around 2012, it merged with the United Methodist congregation in Williamstown to form the New Hope United Methodist congregation. The new congregation sold its Williamstown building to a nursery school, with the intention of meeting in a rented property. The Aeolian-Skinner pipe organ in the North Adams church was sold in 2012 to All Saints Ashmont Episcopal Church in Dorchester, Massachusetts. The church itself is also listed for sale.
