English: Fitzjames was a full-rigged steel ship built in 1902 by Hamilton, Port Glasgow for W. Montgomery & Co., London. Dimensions: length × beam × depth = 262.5 × 40.1 × 23.6 ft (80 × 12.2 × 7.2 m) and tonnage: 1946 GRT. 1909 sold to F. Laeisz, Hamburg and was renamed Pinnas. 1929 the ship was dismasted off Cape Horn and abandoned due to increased leakage[1]. The chilean steamer Alfonso saves the crew of the German ship[2].
