Category:Franconian pattern
The Franconian pattern of German-suited cards was designed by Georg Martin Neumann c. 1840 in Nuremberg. They were initially single-ended, but these disappeared around the time of his death in 1869 and were soon superseded by the double-headed version of Neumann's design still produced today.[1]
