English: Frieda was a four-masted iron and steel barque built in 1885 by Barclay, Curle & Co., Glasgow as full-rigged ship County of Edinburgh for R. & J. Craig, Glasgow (yard No 336). Dimensions: length × beam × depth = 285.5 × 42.4 × 24.3 ft (87 × 12.9 × 7.4 m), tonnage: 2117 GRT and 1903 NRT. Rigged with royal sails above double top- and single topgallant sails. 1903 Sold to the Germans and re-rigged as a fourmasted barque and renamed 1904 in Frieda. 1914 sold to Mathias Lundquist, Mariehamn, Åland. Nov. 1916 wrecked at South Rock, County Down, Ireland[1][2].
