English: Götschel-Bräu was a brewery in St. Georgen (today part of Bayreuth), Germany, established in the mid-19th century. The Götschels were Beckenbrauer, brewers and bakers: At that time it was common for the bakers of Bayreuth to also sell beer. The brew was prepared in the in the city's communal brewhouse and then fermented in the Bierkeller (beer-cellar) dug into the rock below the inns. The bakery part was abandoned by Götschel in 1961, the inn and brewery were closed in 2000.
