Garford COE trucks were the the first commercial vehicles built by the Garford Company of Elyria, Ohio. Introduced in 1906, the truck was offered until 1910 as a Studebaker-Garford model. It had double chain drive and a payload of 5 tn. sh. In 1915, a 3.5 tn.sh. model with worm drive was added. These trucks are easily identified by a slightly rounded frontapron with a protruding filler tube. Although new conventional Garford trucks appeared in 1916, COE models were available until 1919.
The Garford COE truck was the basis of the Garford-Putilov Armoured Car.
