Français : Geoffroi de Charny est un chevalier français de la première moitié du XIVe siècle. Porte-oriflamme et conseiller des rois de France Philippe VI et Jean II, il est considéré par ses contemporains comme l'un des meilleurs chevaliers de son temps. Il est également l'auteur de trois ouvrages portant sur la chevalerie, la guerre, les joutes et les tournois, dont le plus fameux est le Livre de chevalerie. Il est tué à la bataille de Poitiers le 19 septembre 1356.
