Category:Green Line (London coach network)

English: The Green Line is a network of express coach services in and around London, using coaches in various green liveries over the years, and using the Green Line name on vehicles and publicity. Originally established on 9 July 1930 by the London General Omnibus Company as a subsidiary company in its own right (Green Line Coaches Limited), from 1933 it has been operated as a brand within other legal entities - from 1933 to 1970 within the various London Transport bodies, then from 1970 to 1986 by the state owned company London Country Bus Services, and finally since 1986, split between various private operators as the successors parts of the LCBS (split into quarters in 1985, and all privatised in 1988). Operators had latterly mostly come under the Arriva plc umbrella, who either directly own the various Green Line operators, or who license to others the right to use the Green Line name on certain services.
