Deutsch: Der Große Speicher war eine im Nordwesten der Altstadt von Frankfurt am Main zwischen Rosengasse und Rotekreuzgasse gelegene Hofanlage. Die im Kern gotische Häusergruppe wurde 1587 zu einem der bedeutendsten Renaissancebauwerke der Stadt umgebaut. Ab der Mitte des 19. Jahrhunderts zunehmend stärker verändert wurde der Große Speicher schließlich 1938 im Rahmen der Altstadtsanierung bei der Anlage der Eckermannstraße abgerissen, Teile der Fassade sind bis heute in städtischen Depositorien erhalten.
English: The Grosser Speicher (Great Storehouse) was a set of houses in the north-west of the old town of Frankfurt on the Main situated between the Rosengasse (Rose Lane) and the Rotekreuzgasse (Red Cross Lane). At its core yet gothic, the yard was rebuild to one of the most important Renaissance buildings of the city in 1587. From the beginning of the 19th century on it was increasingly strong altered, finally in the course of the old town renovation of the 1930s abrupt in 1938 as the Eckermannstrasse (Eckermann Street) was constructed at its location. Yet parts of the facade have been preserved until today in municipal archives.
