English: The Hesperus was an iron fullrigged ship built in 1873 by Robert Steele & Co., Greenock. Dimensions: 262'2"×39'7"×23'5" and tonnage: 1859 GRT, 1777 NRT and 1574 tons under deck. Equipped with two decks and the forecastle was 40' long and the poop 74'. Sister ship to the same owner's [?] ship Aurora. Originally rigged with skysails. 1924 Broken up at Genoa.[1]
