Category:Hypertype cats
English: Hypertype in cats is exaggeration of features among domestic cats to such degree that they pose health and welfare concerns. A related term is "sine qua non disorder", referring to harmful traits that are considered essential and "necessary" for certain breeds.
In addition to progressive breeding towards exaggerated features, hypertypism may also include features resulting from naturally occurred mutations, which have been purposefully immortalised in breeds.
