12.07.1956 Delivered and entered service as a troopship.
1962 Withdrawn from service, lay idle in the River Fal, positioned just south of the King Harry Ferry
1964 Converted by Silley, Cox and Co. Ltd. in Falmouth into an education cruise ship, with accommodation for 1,100 pupils and teachers, and 230 private cabins for cruise passengers. Spend £500,000
1965 Nevasa commenced cruising, over 20 cruises annually. Most cruises were fully booked, carrying 900 to 1,000 British schoolchildren to ports around Europe. However a few cruises carried overseas passengers, most notably a number of Canadian parties.
01.10.1971 Operation and management transferred to P&O Passenger Division, but continued to carry British India SN Co livery.
05.12.1972 Ownership transferred to The Peninsular and Oriental Steam Navigation Co.
06.1975 Went to the breaker's yard in Kaohsiung (Taiwan) where she was cut up for scrap by Nan Feng Steel Enterprise Co Ltd.
