English: The Romney Indian Mound at Indian Mound Cemetery in Romney, West Virginia, United States measures seven feet high and about fifteen feet in diameter. It is the largest of the remaining mounds discovered in West Virginia's Eastern Panhandle. The Smithsonian Institution suggests this mound might date between 500 and 1000 CE and that it was likely constructed by peoples of the Hopewell culture.
