Category:John Gilberthorpe

John Charles Gilberthorpe (born c. 1946) is a New Zealand former retailer and politician. He was a self-employed retailer who was chairman of the Wellington South Licensing Trust and president of the Island Bay Residents Association. He was a member of the Wellington City Council from 1986 to 1996 when he resigned. After exiting politics he became an executive director of the Wellington Museums Trust.
