English: As Laverda was reborn, the air-cooled 650 entered limited production in 1992 (Zanini era) and series production in 1994 (Tognon era). The two-cylinder engine owed a lot to the earlier 500-series. In April 1996 it was renamed 668, with a modified engine featuring the crankcase of the larger 750. Some models also use the perimeter frame seen on 750s. The 668 was built in a bewildering number of models: Sport, Diamante, Ghost, Ghost Strike, Strike, Black Strike, Ghost Legend.
In 1997 the water-cooled 750 arrived, still a four-valve two-cylinder but now with 747cc, and also available in a number of configurations with or without fairing. Early models including the S, S Carenata, Strike, Ghost Strike, and Diamante had tubular frames while the S Formula, Super Sport, and T8 have pressed twin-beam frames. Later there were also Black Strike and a 750 Sport model. Production of all models ended in 2000.
