Learning pools can be housed in separate buildings or as part of larger swimming facilities. The maximum water depth of learning pools is typically between 0.80 and 1.20 meters (between 3 and 4 feet). Learning pools typically have a gentle slope from the shallow to the deep end. At the shallow end, steps should lead into the water across the full width of the learning pool.
