The Maritime Hotel, on 9th Avenue between West 16th and 17th Streets in Manhattan, New York City, was built in 1968 for the National Maritime Union of America, and was designed by Albert C. Ledner. The building, originally called the Joseph Curran Plaza, was sold in 1988 to Covenant House, a drug-rehabilitation program, and then in 1994 to the Chinese government, which used it as student and diplomatic housing. The hotel opened in 2003.

The other "portholed" building to the side of the Maritime Hotel, at 346 West 17th Street and 357 West 16th Street, is the Dream Downtown Hotel. The building, originally the Joseph Curran Annex, was also designed by Ledner for the NMU as an annex to the union heaquarters on 12th Street and Seventh Avenue, and was completed in 1966. The hotel opened in 2011.

The hotels are under seperate ownership and management.
