English: The McCormick House located at 1224 30th Street NW in the Georgetown neighborhood of Washington, D.C., was built in 1820 and is a contributing property to the Georgetown Historic District. The house was enlarged in 1929 by Representative Ruth McCormick. Subsequent owners include author Scottie Fitzgerald and National Security Advisor Gordon Gray. The property includes 11,100-square-feet of living space on a 30,000-square-foot lot. There are ten bedrooms, six-and-a-half bathrooms, and twelve fireplaces in the main house. A guest house on the property includes four bedrooms and three-and-a-half bathrooms. There is a pool and pool house, two garages, a children's playhouse, two greenhouses and a pavilion behind the main house. The gardens were landscaped by Rose Greely and Perry Wheeler.
