English: The Motueka war memorial was unveiled in 1922 to commemorate local soldiers who fell in WWI. In 1957, the names of local soldiers who fell in WWII were added. At some point, the memorial tablet from the Trooper Tarrant Memorial was relocated to this memorial; Tarrant had died in 1900 in the Boer War.
