Category:Network Colchester (bus company)

English: Network Colchester is the brand name adopted for Colchester town bus services after the 2004 acquisition of Arriva's Colchester operation by Tellings-Golden Miller. The 35 bus fleet was re-branded into the TGM Group base livery of white, yellow & blue, with a yellow circle logo alongside Network Colchester fleetnames. Some buses also received a degree of colour coded route branding. It was placed under the operational control of Burtons Coaches, a local bus & coach TGM subsidiary based in nearby Haverhill, Suffolk. Buses wore the company name & address of Burtons, with Network Colchester listed as a trading name. In 2007, Arriva purchased TGM, bringing the Colchester services back into their control, albeit indirectly - unusually the TGM operations remained separate from Arriva, both legally and in branding terms. In February 2010, the Burtons business was divested from TGM as a management buyout (later folding in 2011), but the sale did not include the Network Colchester operation, which remained with TGM - legal lettering presumably changing to a TGM entity. The logo (but not the base colours) has changed twice since launch - first to an arch above the fleetname, and then to a triangular device to its side.
