Category:Oban & District (bus company)

English: Oban & District Ltd was a bus operator created in 1992 when the GRT Group owned Midland Scottish buses decided to dispose of their Oban depot, due to its distance from its other depots. It was sold to its management. The company adopted Oban & District as a fleetname, but the livery remained close to the blue scheme adopted for Midland by the GRT Group. In 1999 West Coast Motors purchased the business. It remained a separate company, with some buses being given Oban & District fleetnames along side the West Coast Motors red livery, but this practice appears to have ended around 2005 in favour of the standard WCM livery (having lasted at least as long as 2003 when it was applied to brand new '03 registered buses).
