Ordered Mr. Imre Hamerly, who herited the Hamerly glove factory. The hotel built on the place of the old Hamerly factory and shop - 5 Király Street, Belváros (Inner City) neighborhood, Pécs, Baranya County, Hungary.

Pilch Andor tervezte Hamerly Imre részére.A Hamerly kesztyűgyár és -üzlet épületét 1912-13-ban lebontották, majd 1915-re felépítették a szecessziós szállót – Gipsz épületet díszítő szobrok. Homlokzatán 1998-ban elhelyezett Hamerli-emléktábla és 1965-ös Bartók Béla emléktábla "Itt A Pannónia Nagytermében hangversenyzett 1923 október 30-án Bartók Béla (1881-1945).
