English: The former Paramount Theatre, Renfield Street, Glasgow: opened in 1934, sold to Odeon in 1939. It was both a cinema and a live music theatre until 1969, when it temporarily closed for partition into a two-screen cinema. It was further partitioned in the 1970s and again in 1988 and 1999. Historic Scotland listed the building in 2003 and Odeon closed it as a cinema in 2006. The auditorium was demolished for redevelopment in 2013 but the façade is being retained as a separate building.
