Category:Photos by the Ingenuity Navigation Camera

English: This category hosts only the black-and-white images taken by the navigation camera of Ingenuity helicopter (Navcam) and their derivatives like animations, videos etc. Navcam itself is the Omnivision OV7251 0.5 megapixel device, producing the simple VGA 640×480 images in 256 shadows of gray. Being mounted at the bottom of the fuselage, Navcam always produces downward-looking images.

The size of the shadow of Ingenuity is inversely proportional to the distance of camera from the surface. The minimal distance (and the largest shadow) is about 13 centimeters when Ginny stands on her legs.

Most of the source media may be found in the NASA catalogue at https://photojournal.jpl.nasa.gov/spacecraft/Ingenuity.

Raw images from Navcam are also stored at https://mars.nasa.gov/mars2020/multimedia/raw-images/?af=HELI_NAV#raw-images
