The Picc-Vic tunnel was an abandoned 1970s railway project, which aimed to build an underground line across the centre of Manchester, UK, linking the main railway terminals. The line would have linked up several existing railway lines — the Bury line, the Crewe–Manchester line, the Hope Valley line, the Stafford–Manchester Line and the Styal Line — allowing trains to run directly across the Greater Manchester region. It was superseded by the Manchester Metrolink project.
