English: Primrose Hill was a four-masted iron barque built in 1886 by T. Royden & Co., Liverpool for W. Price & Co., Liverpool. Dimensions: length × beam × depth: 301.5 × 42.1 × 27.6 ft (91.8 × 12.8 × 8.4 m) and tonnage 2520 GRT and 2436 NRT. Rigged with skysails and royal sails over double top and topgallant sails. 1900 left Liverpool for Australia [Furrer]/Vancouver[Hurst] under tow. When the wind increased the tug had to release the Primrose Hill which drifted on to Holyhead, Penrhyn Mawr, and was wrecked. Only one man of the crew survived.[1]
