Category:RM2071 (Routemaster bus)

English: Routemaster bus RM2071 (reg. ALM 71B) was delivered to London Transport in November 1964. It saw use in London until withdrawal from service in May 1986. In April 1988 it was sold for further use in the Blackpool Transport fleet (531) and then the Reading Mainline fleet (42), who also displayed it at Showbus 1998. In 2000 it was one of a batch of buses bought back by London Bus Services Ltd, being rebuilt and re-engined (Cummins) by Marshall's of Cambridge, for further use in London. It went into operation on route 13 from September 2001 for Sovereign Bus & Coach, before being finally withdrawn in October 2005. After being returned to LBSL, it was selected as one of the few buses to continue in service on the Routemaster Heritage Routes, going into service allocated to East London on London Buses heritage route 15 from November 2005.
