Resurrection River is the largest and primary river in the Resurrection River Watershed, flowing 27.6 miles from the head of the watershed near Upper Russian Lake to the multi-channel delta at the Resurrection Bay and comprising 57.7 miles of stream channel, including all of its braids and side channels. The Resurrection River Watershed covers approximately 109,877 acres located in the southwestern portion of the Seward Ranger District in the Chugach National Forest. The watershed extends to the mouth of Resurrection River near Seward, Alaska, and includes lands owned by the Chugach National Forest, Kenai Fjords National Park, US Fish and Wildlife Service, State of Alaska, Kenai Peninsula Borough, Bureau of Indian Affairs, City of Seward and private land owners (Resurrection River Landscape Assessment).
