Category:Rottaler Hafner
Hafner is the southern German expression for potters. In the Rottal, mainly in today's Rottal-Inn district, there was the second important Hafner area in Lower Bavaria in addition to the Kröning near Vilsbiburg. The craft tradition of the Rottaler Hafner goes back in time (as with the Kröninger Hafner ceramics) to the Middle Ages and does not end until around 1920.
